Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer (Medical Device) Location: Andover, Massachusetts, USA Employment Type: Full-time Job Requisition ID: R21-00605032 Salary: $125,000 annually + Benefits Job Description: Client is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support our team in designing, developing, and commercializing new wearable diabetes care products. We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Electrical Engineer with a passion for problem-solving and a proven track record of successfully bringing products to market. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Electrical Engineering, this role will be onsite five days a week. Responsibilities: Design, prototype, test, and troubleshoot electrical circuits incorporating motors, sensors, batteries, microcontrollers, RF, analog, and digital components. Design test fixtures and perform schematic and layout design using Altium Design Software. Collaborate with other teams (Firmware, Software, Systems, Mechanical, Operations & Quality) to support integration activities. Conduct circuit analysis, simulation, and data analysis using Python or MATLAB. Manage design tradeoffs on performance, risk, manufacturability, and cost. Cultivate and manage vendor relationships. Lead technical reviews and activities related to IEC 60601 testing. Author and execute engineering studies and architecture documents. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent. 5+ years of design and development experience in electrical engineering. Experience with Design for PCB manufacturability, assembly, and testability. Proficiency in using Lab Tools such as Oscilloscopes and Data Loggers. Experience with UART, USB, I2C, and SPI protocols. Preferred Qualifications: Strong written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams. Detail-oriented and highly organized. Experience with motors, sensors, batteries, microcontrollers, RF, analog, and digital components. Proficiency in PCB and Schematic Design Software (Altium Designer Preferred). Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology. Experience with high-volume PCB design/manufacturing. Familiarity with Microchip and Silicon Labs Microcontrollers. Knowledge of medical electrical safety standards (IEC 60601). Experience with FMEA and Hazard Analysis. Familiarity with fail-safe designs and disposables. Experience with wearable/portable devices
