Maintenance Technician (GA)

About the Job Maintenance Technician Location: Ashburn, GA Remote: NO Summary: Often in manufacturing/industrial settings) performs preventative and reactive maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems (pumps, motors, etc.), troubleshoots equipment, installs parts, performs lockout/tagout, and uses tools like calipers, micrometers, and diagnostic software (FactoryTalk, RSLink) for machinery, with duties varying from basic facility upkeep to complex automation repair, aiming to keep production running smoothly. Key Responsibilities:Mechanical: Maintain, repair, and install pumps, tanks, piping, valves, agitators, and other process equipment. Electrical/Electronic: Troubleshoot and repair motors, drives (VFDs), PLCs, control panels, sensors, and electrical systems, often in manufacturing automation. Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections, lubrication, and servicing to prevent equipment failure. Troubleshooting: Diagnose issues using blueprints, manuals, and diagnostic tools; repair or replace parts. Safety: Follow Lockout/Tagout procedures, adhere to company safety programs, and potentially handle hazardous materials. Documentation: Complete work orders in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Skills & Tools:Proficiency with hand/power tools, precision instruments (calipers, micrometers). Knowledge of electrical theory, ladder logic, VFDs, Ability to read schematics, diagrams, and operation manuals. Plumbing Exp. a must Experience with industrial equipment (stamping presses, automation) is often required. Work Environment:Can involve both facility upkeep (HVAC, plumbing), Warehouse work and heavy industrial machinery.
