Summary Objective The Operational Technology (OT) Manager is responsible for managing and maintaining Stellar Energy's manufacturing and plant-floor technology systems that support safe, efficient, and reliable production operations. This role ensures the performance, security, and stability of key OT systems, including industrial controls, automation platforms, and connected IIoT environments. Reporting to the Director of Operational Technology, the OT Manager partners closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and IT teams to ensure seamless integration between plant-floor systems and enterprise infrastructure. The OT Manager provides hands-on technical leadership to engineers and specialists supporting automation, controls, and networked production systems. Essential FunctionsOT Infrastructure & Plant SystemsManage day-to-day operations and maintenance of plant-floor technologies, including PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, industrial networks, and IIoT devices. Ensure system uptime, reliability, and performance across all manufacturing areas. Oversee monitoring, patching, and lifecycle management of OT hardware and software. Coordinate with IT to maintain secure, standardized connectivity between OT and enterprise systems. Security & Risk ManagementImplement and maintain OT cybersecurity controls, working with the IT Security team to align with company standards. Enforce network segmentation, access controls, and monitoring for industrial systems. Support incident response and disaster recovery efforts related to plant-floor technologies. Governance & ComplianceSupport the development and enforcement of OT standards, system documentation, and change management processes. Ensure OT systems comply with relevant safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate records of configurations, maintenance, and updates for audit readiness. Vendor & Partner ManagementManage day-to-day activities with system integrators, automation vendors, and service providers to ensure performance and reliability. Coordinate vendor support for system installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting. Assist in evaluating new OT tools, technologies, and improvement opportunities. Program Execution & SupportLead or support OT-related projects, including system upgrades, automation improvements, and equipment commissioning. Track project schedules, deliverables, and resources in coordination with the OT Director and project management teams. Provide progress updates, documentation, and performance metrics related to OT initiatives. Cross-Functional CollaborationPartner with IT Infrastructure to ensure alignment of network, server, and security practices between IT and OT environments. Work with Applications and Data teams to ensure OT data integrates properly into enterprise reporting and analytics systems. Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality leadership to support production goals and resolve system issues. QualificationsEducation & Experience Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (Master's preferred). 5-7+ years of leadership experience in OT, industrial automation, or manufacturing technology. Demonstrated success managing plant-floor control systems, IIoT, or SCADA environments. Proven ability to lead OT security initiatives and ensure compliance with industry standards. Familiarity with PMP or structured project management practices; able to lead CAPEX-heavy projects. Skills & Competencies Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills. Excellent communication, able to translate OT risk/performance into business impact. Deep knowledge of plant automation, control systems, and industrial networks. Financial acumen in managing OT budgets, CAPEX/OPEX, and vendor contracts. Ability to balance resilience, safety, and innovation in operational environments. Working Conditions Full-time, on-site with remote flexibility. Participation in on-call rotation and after-hours maintenance as required. Supervisory Responsibility This position has high level of supervisory responsibilities. Work Location This position will be held out of our Main Manufacturing Office in Fort Worth, TX. This position is approved for partial telecommuting or working remotely as approved by the VP - Information Technology. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop, kneel, talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position may require occasional weekend work. Travel Anticipated up to 10% travel for this position between the different Stellar Energy offices in Jacksonville and future operational sites as the company expands. Work Authorization Must be authorized to work in the USA.
