For more information regarding MAC certification in Alabama, please visit: Position Overview Our Medication Aides are detail-oriented professionals with strong knowledge of patient care procedures. Providing excellent resident care is a vital part of this role, and strong communication and teamwork skills are essential. What You'll Do: Deliver routine daily medications (prescription and non-prescription) to residents Coordinate with licensed nurses to assist with medication administration and resident care Follow written and verbal medication instructions accurately Record medication dosages and administration times Observe residents and document changes in condition Respond promptly to emergency call signals, bells, or intercom systems Maintain compliance with facility policies and state regulations Qualifications / Requirements: Must be a Medication Assistant, Certified (MAC) Must possess a valid and current Medication Administration certificate for the State of Alabama Knowledge of nursing and medical practices, procedures, and long-term care regulations Must be at least 20 years of age Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English Patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude toward the elderly and disabled Benefits for Full-Time Employees: Competitive rates Blue Cross/Blue Shield Health Insurance (low premiums & low deductibles!)
