Performs advanced professional and technical work involving all aspects of administration, support, maintenance, and operation of the Utilities Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system and all of its related technologies; responsible for the reliability, configuration, and monitoring of the SCADA system hardware, peripherals, and applications; administers the SCADA system Microsoft Windows servers, workstations, active directory, virtual environment, and associated databases; supports the development of SCADA software applications consisting of creating or modifying graphical screens for real-time data, historical trends, alarm management, interfaces for set point entry, and manual remote control; develops, maintains, and validates data to meet operator requirements; ensures the SCADA system compliance with all relevant regulations. QUALIFICATIONS This position requires qualified applicants to possess one of the following: • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or closely related field; minimum of one (1) year of experience in the support of Local Area Network (LAN)/Server systems, minicomputer-based systems, hardware, software or business applications, including advanced technology (Electronics, Information Technology, Engineering), OR • A related Associate's Degree or unrelated Bachelor's Degree; minimum of three (3) years of experience in the support of Local Area Network (LAN)/Server systems, minicomputer-based systems, including advanced technology (Electronics, Information Technology, Engineering), OR • An unrelated Associate's Degree; minimum of four (4) years of experience in the support of Local Area Network (LAN)/Server systems, minicomputer-based systems, hardware, software or business applications, including advanced technology (Electronics, Information Technology, Engineering), OR • Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of five (5) years of experience in the support of Local Area Network (LAN)/Server systems, minicomputer-based systems, hardware, software or business applications, including advanced technology (Electronics, Information Technology, Engineering). PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Preferred qualifications include: • Experience with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming and automated reporting software (must specify on application) , • Experience with GE Proficy, iFIX HMI/SCADA software (must specify on application) , • Experience with supporting solutions for water/wastewater, analytics, data historian and/or geo-spatial software (must specify on application) , • Experience using Allen Bradley PLC software (must specify on application) , and • Experience with the administration of Microsoft Windows Servers such as OS, AD, SQL, and/or virtual environments (must specify on application) .
