Description HALO Staffing Group - Immediate Interviews - Top Hospitals - Great Pay Top rated specialty medical group in La Mesa, CA has an immediate opening for an experienced Surgery Scheduler. Position is working all scheduling for ambulatory surgeries for large General Surgery Medical Group. Summary: The Surgery Scheduler includes managing patient information, communicating with patients and medical staff, and coordinating logistics for the surgical process, authorizations, scheduling surgeries at the hospital, and has experience with coding CPT and ICD-10. Job description: Monday thru Friday, 8:00 a.m. -5:00 p.m. Paying $24-$25 p/hr DOE Location: La Mesa, CA. Essential duties: Schedules surgery procedures using internal system Completes post-op data entry in a timely and accurate manner Posts surgical charges on a daily basis per established guidelines Completes daily surgical schedule and distributes as appropriate Produces and distributes daily surgical log Posts the daily surgery schedule on the staff's assignment board Assures appropriate coordination with other hospital departments when special surgical needs occur Publishes an accurate daily call list and forwards to staffing department Position Requirements Experience with surgery scheduling Minimum of 3 years of scheduling for hospitals or surgery centers Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional patient care and very compassionate TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Position requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Some patient assistance will be required. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone and other office equipment is also required. Employee must have normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports. This position is currently accepting applications.
