What We OfferNovant Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in a fast-paced Rheumatology & Arthritis clinic. This role specializes in preparation, mixing, and administration of biologic and specialty infusion medications for patients with autoimmune and inflammatory conditions. The RN ensures safe medication handling, monitors patients during infusions, and collaborates closely with providers to optimize treatment outcomes. Schedule: Full Time, Days Mon - Thurs 8am -5:00pm Fri 8am - 12:00pm Department: Novant Health Rheumatology & Arthritis - Westbrook Location: Winston- Salem, NC What You'll DoClinical & Patient Care Perform comprehensive patient assessments prior to infusion therapy. Review provider orders, verify dosages, and ensure treatment plan accuracy. Educate patients on infusion therapy, medication side effects, and post-treatment care. Monitor patients during and after infusions for adverse reactions. Respond promptly and appropriately to infusion-related emergencies. Medication Preparation & Infusion Administration Safely prepare, mix, and administer biologic and specialty medications per established protocols. Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique and medication safety standards. Calculate and verify dosages based on patient weight and provider orders. Ensure proper storage, handling, and disposal of medications. Document all medication administration and patient responses accurately in the EMR. Care Coordination & Compliance Collaborate with rheumatologists, advanced practice providers, and clinical staff to coordinate care. Verify prior authorizations and ensure treatment approvals are in place prior to infusion. Maintain compliance with state regulations, OSHA guidelines, and clinic policies. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and infection control practices. What We're Looking ForEducation: High School Diploma or GED, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course. Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred. Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required. ACLS, PALS, BAT and DOT; preferred.
