Job Description

Kibo Property Management is hiring a Maintenance Technician to keep our apartments, self-storage facility, and facilities running smoothly - from repairs and make-readies to grounds and common areas. If you're skilled, dependable, and ready to jump in when needed (including on-call emergencies), this is the role for you! We are certified as A Great Place to Work! Essential functions Performs all maintenance and repair work (major and routine) for the apartments, supportive buildings, common areas, breezeways, irrigation systems, and grounds. Provides maintenance support for the storage and commercial assets. Notifies the Maintenance Manager of any unsafe conditions or areas of concern, and provides recommendations for resolving these issues. Completes punch lists in vacant apartments, including debris removal, repairs and replacements, and inspections. Follows the Make Ready Procedure. Conduct regular property inspections and identify preventative maintenance needs. Coordinates housekeeping and carpet/floor repairs with the Maintenance Manager as needed. Ensures the inventory and workshop are neat, organized, and adequately stocked to handle make readies, service requests, and other routine maintenance tasks. Serves on call for 24-hour emergency maintenance work orders on a rotating schedule (approximately every four weeks). Maintains a professional demeanor at all times while on duty or on call. Qualifications Experience in all aspects of apartment maintenance including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and small appliance repair. Minimum of one (1) year building maintenance experience, multifamily is preferred. Knowledgeable and skilled in safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment. Strong communication skills; ability to read, write and communicate effectively. Basic computer skills and understanding of technology. Work environment Exposure to outside weather conditions. On call week runs Monday - Sunday. Additional compensation and hour minimums will be paid. Physical demands Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds without assistance. Ability to climb stairs and ladders. Ability to work outside in different elements.
