POC: Brenda Job Titleand Job band PCB and Hardware Design Engineer Work Location (with ZIP code for US) Federal Drive Allen Park MI US 48101 Vendor Ratemarket rate/Hr Contract duration (in months)6 months Job Description Candidates must have previous PCB design experience • Embedded hardware design experience a plus • Experience designing for EMC • Prior knowledge of Automotive Lighting standards • Understanding of Design for Manufacturability, Design for Assembly, and Design for Testability • Working knowledge of schematic, layout, and spice tools • Experience with ECAD libraries and library configuration management • Familiarity with IPC standards and guidelines • Good communication skills, high energy level, and ability to work effectively within a team and lead the PCB team Experience 6-8 Years Detailed JD Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or similar area of study, Master's EE is a plus • Minimum of 5 years of experience with PCB design for Automotive LED applications • Thorough understanding of product design using passive and active electronics surface-mount components Required Skills and Experience: • Candidates must have previous PCB design experience • Embedded hardware design experience a plus • Experience designing for EMC • Prior knowledge of Automotive Lighting standards • Understanding of Design for Manufacturability, Design for Assembly, and Design for Testability • Working knowledge of schematic, layout, and spice tools • Experience with ECAD libraries and library configuration management • Familiarity with IPC standards and guidelines • Good communication skills, high energy level, and ability to work effectively within a team and lead the PCB team Responsibilities Include: • Design responsible for electronic assemblies for new automotive LED lighting applications • Develop engineering prototypes for testing and evaluation to confirm design specifications are satisfied • Ensure layouts meet EMC requirements • Participate in research, design and develop of electronics for new programs in compliance with automotive standards and customer specifications • Failure analysis and investigation of electronic failures and provide recommendations to Quality and Manufacturing team • Interface internally with cross-functional departments, and externally with suppliers and customer though all phases of product development, validation and manufacturing • Work with a cross-functional design team to effectively manage data and, revision control for electrical and software designs • Support benchmark activity for evaluating electrical designs • Maintain component and footprint libraries in Altium
