Food Mixer

Job Full Description The Production Mixer is responsible for preparing and mixing the ingredients required for the assembly of food products. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. • Correctly and accurately assemble ingredients & record on production paperwork • Follow blend sheets to ensure accurate product • Mixing & blending of ingredients to ensure a consistent final product that matches customer specifications. • Operate all production equipment, including Kettles, Pumps, Dye Mixers and Mills • Complete production paperwork accurately and timely • Understand and follow all sanitization processes • Consistently practice food safety, sanitization, and work safety policies & procedures • Perform all duties in compliance with USDA, federal, state & local regulations, and company policies & procedures, including safety protocols and the use of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) • Regular and reliable attendance SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES • This position has no supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE • No minimum education required; high school or GED preferred CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS • None REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES • Able to communicate effectively • Able to work in an efficient manner while performing repetitive hand motions • Be multi-task oriented • Able to stand for entire work shift • Able to lift up 5-15 pounds occasionally • Reliable and punctual; be willing to work overtime when required • Some experience is preferred, but not required; training will be provided • Must pass criminal background check SELF MANAGEMENT • Comply with the Health, Safety and Environmental Policies • Assertive, resilient and welcomes change. • Engages interest and participation of others and has a collaborative approach to working together. • Proactively contributes to the team. • Is self-aware and optimistic. • Shows moral courage, openness, and honesty in all dealings.
