Essential Job Functions:Supervisor:Supervises assigned shift and the daily operation of the Attendants Bell and Valet. Ensure staff receives proper training for each position, including safety training and standard operating procedures Check appearance of all team members to ensure compliance with standards of appearance Comply with quality assurance expectations, standards and hotel rating guidelines. Schedules all team members to ensure that there is sufficient workforce available to provide the most efficient guest service possible. Supervisor may be required to work in the designated area if needed for proper coverage. Maintain knowledge of hotel and casino amenities Retrieve and transport guest luggage Inspect guest rooms and acquaint guests with these rooms and their features Performs room checks for occupancy Ensures all team members are providing prompt, professional, and courteous service to all guests Handles any guest complaints or problems in a prompt and courteous manner Organize and store luggage, as needed, according to guidelines Handles receiving and delivering of guest packages Keeps supplies stocked at bell desks Pick up and deliver guest laundry Ensures safe and proper use of all equipment. Maintain a safety program to ensure all team members have a safe work environment. Monitor daily progress/improvement, areas of training, etc. via reports Prepares team member performance reviews and makes personnel recommendations to the Manager Front Desk. Ensure that management/leadership team is kept fully aware of any relevant feedback from guests and/or other departments Ensure messages and faxes are regularly delivered throughout the day Assist with room moves, special luggage deliveries and removals and attend to the main lobby and front door, as needed Drives property-designated vehicles to and from guest destinations or local airport, as needed Review all property equipment to ensure it is in good operational condition and its appearance meets property standards. Ensures parking lot areas, offices and storage locations are locked All other duties as assigned Attendant: Must maintain the strictest confidence of any and all confidential and proprietary information disclosed by a Rivers Casino Pittsburgh entity or by a guest of Rivers Casino Pittsburgh. Greet the guest with positive body language friendly demeanor in accordance with the 10-5 rule Welcome and acknowledge all guests, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, assist individuals with disabilities (when requested), and thank guests with genuine appreciation. Open doors and assist guests/visitors entering and leaving property. Inform guests of property amenities, services, and hours of operation, and local areas of interest and activities. Identify and explain room features to guests (e.g., use of room key, mini-bar, ice and vending areas, in-room safe, laundry services). Transport guest luggage to and from guest rooms and/or designated bell area. Assist with luggage storage and retrieval. Assist guests/visitors in and out of vehicles, including assisting guests with loading/unloading luggage. Supply guests with directions. Arrange transportation (e.g., taxi cab, shuttle bus, limousine/sedan service) for guests/visitors, and record advance transportation requests as needed. Communicate parking procedures to guests/visitors. Follow all company policies and procedures, and report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the supervisor/manager. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional Speak with others using clear and professional language, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others. Deliver messages, packages, flowers, wine, and housekeeping items (hair dryers, ironing boards, irons, laundry/dry cleaning etc.) to guest rooms upon request. Comply with quality assurance expectations, standards and hotel rating guidelines. Move at a speed required to respond to work situations (e.g., run, walk, jog). Maintain proper storage and labeling of guest keys and tags. Keep the valet area and front of the hotel entrance neat and free of trash. Ability to share or divide attention among several ongoing activities, projects or assignments Hand out valet tickets and perform damage inspections of all vehicles before parked. Hang coats and tag luggage for guests. Conduct daily walk through/inspections of Valet driveways. Parking areas and Guest Service Storage areas to ensure cleanliness and Safety. Performs room checks for occupancy and completes room moves for the guest Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working All other duties as assigned Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):Two to four years proven customer services experience is necessary Previous experience in Bell, Valet and/or customer service position is preferred Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written. Ability to uphold presentation/demeanor in stressful situations and calling for assistance when necessary Must possess outstanding interpersonal communications skills to effectively interface with guests Must possess strong organizational/planning skills Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and the ability to be insured under our company policy Ability to work under time constraints Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance and objects weighing in excess of 75 pounds with assistance. Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
