AHope Front Desk Volunteer

The AHope Day Center is a low barrier service for humans experiencing homelessness in Asheville NC that is open to clients from 8am to 1pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and 8am to 11:30pm on Wednesdays. We are in need of front desk volunteers that can ideally commit to a weekly schedule. Shifts can be from 8am to 1pm or shifts can be shorter such as 8am to 12pm or 11am to 1pm. Duties: Assist case managers with check in and acquisition of housing paperwork Assist case managers with connecting clients to local resources Label and plug in phones, battery packs and other chargeable gadgets Open client lockers as requested Lock up and log client bikes as requested Assist in other administrative tasks as needed Assist with tidying the dining area and desk throughout the day as needed
