Free Uniforms, Safety Equipment, and Employee recognition (PIN) program For more information, please visit our website: Job Description:The Machinist will be reporting to the Mechanical Testing Manager and is responsible for heavy sectioning and sample coupon preparation.Job Duties Responsibilities: Document lab results in Bluestreak, Midwest Metallurgical Laboratories (MML) in-house operating systemSection and prepare samples for mechanical testing and metallographyPerform basic maintenance on all shop equipmentCalibrate equipment as requiredMonitor maintain machine shop suppliesVerify tags are accurate and completeMaintain sample archivePrepare items for transfer between various work centersWork with lab personnel to ensure due dates are met and information flows to the correct individualsEnsure shop organization cleanliness The statements herein are intended to describe the genera nature and levels of the works performed by employees but are not a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required of personnel so classified. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
