Lead Low Voltage Technician Location: Huntsville, AL Division: Low Voltage Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM Company: State Systems, Inc. About State Systems, Inc. About the Role Join a leader in life safety as a Lead Low Voltage Technician, where you’ll install, program, and service commercial fire alarm, access control, CCTV, intrusion, and communication systems. In this role, you will ensure systems are installed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all applicable codes and standards. This position is ideal for a skilled low voltage professional who takes pride in technical excellence, works independently with confidence, and leads by example in the field. What You’ll Do Installation & Technical Execution Install, program, and service commercial fire alarm systems Install, program, and service access control systems Perform work related to CCTV, intrusion detection, and low voltage communication systems Conduct preventive maintenance and troubleshoot low voltage systems Diagnose and repair electrical and system issues using appropriate testing equipment Ensure all installations comply with electrical and fire safety codes Field Operations & Equipment Management Work independently or collaboratively with team members to complete projects Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in proper working condition Follow all company safety policies and procedures Represent State Systems professionally on job sites What We’re Looking For High School Diploma or GED required; technical school training preferred 2+ years of experience in low voltage systems or related field Basic knowledge of electric and battery-powered hand tools Proficiency with basic computer skills Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Valid driver’s license required Physical Requirements Must be in good physical condition with no limitations Willing to work outdoors in inclement weather Able to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly and up to 75 lbs. occasionally Able to push/pull greater than 100 lbs. as needed Able to climb ladders and work at heights of 12–24 feet Compensation & Benefits Compensation: Competitive pay based on experience, education, and certifications Job Type: Full-time | Monday–Friday Benefits We Offer 401(k) with company match Health, dental, and vision insurance Life, accident, and critical illness coverage Paid time off and holiday pay Company vehicle or vehicle allowance (as applicable) Phone allowance and logo attire Flexible Spending & Health Savings Accounts Employee Assistance & wellness programs Professional development assistance Referral program Pet insurance and voluntary benefits Opportunities for advancement Company Overview State Systems is a privately owned total protection company headquartered in Memphis, TN, with locations in Memphis; North Little Rock, AR; Lowell, AR; Middle Tennessee; Huntsville, AL; Tupelo, MS; Denver, CO; and Houston, TX.
