Responsibilities Respond to all referrals to the Transfer Center program in a timely manner  Contact the receiving nurse to outline the patient’s condition, medical treatment plan and physical orders to prepare him/her for the patient’s arrival   Assist with development and implementation of educational programs for nurses (i.e. Lunch & Learns, ACNS, etc.)  Facilitate physician-to-physician communication  Communicate with sending facility to assure follow-up with Physician accomplished  Assist sending facility with use of air or ground transport of patient  Telephone receiving facility Admitting Department to admit patient  Other related job tasks or responsibilities as assigned  Qualifications Minimum Requirements  Education: Associates Degree in Nursing, or equivalent, from an accredited program.  Experience: 4 years clinical experience in an acute care setting.  Licensure/Certifications: Current Arizona, or other compact state, Registered Nurse license; BLS.  Preferred Requirements  Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing  Experience: RN experience in an ER/Trauma, Neurosciences and/or Cardiovascular setting. Knowledge of, and the ability to apply InterQual criteria.  Certifications/Registration: ACLS; Applicable professional certification i.e. CCRN, CEN, CNRN  Special Skills:   Must possess the ability to interact and communicate in English, both orally and written, with all levels of staff, physicians, patients, and families in an effective manner, exhibiting tact, enthusiasm, and patience.   Must be sensitive to cultural and bilingual issues.   #LI-AL2 Employment practices will not be influenced or affected by an applicant’s or employee’s race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age, disability, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, veteran status or any other legally protected status.
