Registered Nurse (RN) - FloatType: Full-Time Shift: Day Shift Location: Avamere Communities - this position will be a float position working at multiple locations. Wage: $50-$63 Apply now at: Arete.Jobs Join our clinical team as a Registered Nurse (RN) supporting Assisted Living residents across multiple Oregon communities. We are especially interested in candidates with prior Assisted Living and DHS-level experience who are skilled in resident assessment, care planning, and regulatory-compliant documentation. This role offers variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to elevate resident care across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will be passionate about coaching and mentoring clinical teams, be innovative with enhancing best practices, and have a true love of seniors. This Float RN position will support the Regional Nurse Consultant in community nursing coverage and regional oversight. Arete Living/Avamere Communities are primarily present in Oregon. The majority of your time will be spent in one of the communities, and any office days are typically taken from your home. However, occasionally there will be meetings at the home office in Tigard, or other designated meeting locations. Responsibilities: Provide coverage as either DHS or other nursing coverage in communities as needed. Set a cultural example of teamwork, trust, integrity, communication, and innovation. Assist Regional Nurse Consultant as requested in these areas: Regional meetings and coordinate or provide orientation to all newly hired Director of Health Services, RN and LPNs. Conduct site visits to evaluate the communities for compliance with policy, procedure, and regulations as needed. Provide training, in-service, monitoring, and the necessary assistance to maintain the highest level of quality care for the residents we serve. Promote interdisciplinary cooperative endeavors, mutual understanding, and support between all departments. Participate in community surveys by authorized government agencies. Develop and adhere to a proactive consultation schedule based on facility risk and clinical goals. Review all surveys within the region for plans of correction and review weekly reports for each facility identifying areas of concern or priorities. Provide reports and trends to the company and assist in developing plans to improve various areas of focus. Perform and implement compliance programs including Mock survey, reviews, and routine consultative visits. When acting as DHS for a community: Delegates tasks according to Oregon Board of Nursing Rules and Regulations (ensures a written physicians order, assess the resident condition as stable, ensure the caregiver is capable of performing the task by observation of that caregiver's performance, ensures training of the task to the caregiver, provides written instructions and a return demonstration of the task, documents the task delegated on the resident's service plan). Complete assessments, such as admission and change in condition in a timely manner. Monitor medication passes and treatment schedules. Assist TA team in the hiring and on-boarding of clinical staff as needed. Be a key player in all state and federal surveys and in developing and deploying plans of correction. Record patient medical records using PointClickCare (EMR). Complete on-going training as assigned and as required by state licensure. Complete other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Must possess a nursing degree from an accredited college or university. Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in applicable states. Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations and guidelines that pertain to Senior Living communities. Experience with Electronic Medical Records and computer documentation systems. Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
