Position Overview: The Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in both the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Medical Surgical Units is responsible for providing high-level nursing care to patients with diverse medical needs. This position entails working with critically ill patients in the ICU as well as managing post-surgery patients in the Medical Surgical Unit. RNs in this role must possess strong clinical skills, critical thinking abilities, and the capacity to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Start Date: Immediate Location: Sebring, FL Shift: Day and Night Pay: $46.00 - $50.00 per hour Key Responsibilities: Perform comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical and emotional conditions in both ICU and Medical Surgical environments. Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as per physician orders and established protocols. Monitor and document changes in patients' conditions, including vital signs and laboratory results, accurately in electronic health records. Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to establish and execute individualized care plans for patients. Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions. Take part in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and families during critical and transitional care phases. Requirements Current and valid RN license in the state of practice; compact state license preferred. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate’s Degree considered with relevant experience. Minimum of 1 year of experience in an Intensive Care Unit and Medical Surgical setting is required. BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory; additional certifications such as CCRN desirable. Strong assessment, analytical, and problem-solving skills in high-pressure situations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Willingness to adapt to changing clinical environments and patient care demands.
