Medical Receptionist - PRN

Medical Receptionist - PRN Huntsville Hospital Urgent Care is looking for experienced Medical Receptionists to join our team in Decatur, AL. The Medical Receptionist will be responsible for greeting patients, activating patient files and providing support to patients and medical staff. Key responsibilities include: welcoming all patients and visitors, answering multi-line phones, filing, faxing, scanning documentation, completing daily patient callbacks, checking in and discharging patients, assisting clinical staff, and closing the office at the end of each shift. Additionally, the role involves collecting insurance information, verifying patient demographics, processing payments, posting patient balances, and maintaining a neat and clean work environment. Schedule: Full-time team members work a rotating 36-40 hour/week schedule, consisting of 12-hour weekday shifts and every-other weekend. PRN (per diem) team members are scheduled on an as-needed basis. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent, knowledge of basic computer software, and prior experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
