Cambridge TechnologiesPosition GuidelinesJOB TITLE: Glassware and Sterilization Technician CLASSIFICATION: Non-ExemptDEPARTMENT: Manufacturing DATE REVISED: 08/08/24 SUMMARY The primary responsibility for this position is to wash, re-prep and sterilize production related materials. The incumbent will be responsible for all the daily workflow of the for this position. This includes washing of glassware and other materials, drying and wrapping glassware and other materials and running autoclaves in order to sterilize glassware and other materials. ACCOUNTABILITIES Reports to: Production Manager Supervises: Has no supervisory responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Washing and drying of lab materials. Wrapping and autoclaving of lab materials. Assisting with various departments as needed. Communicating with other departments about the needs of materials. Scheduling and planning autoclave runs with other departments. Have the ability to follow Standard Operation Procedures in an efficient and accurate manner. Has the ability to assist with troubleshooting and modifying SOP's. Able to assist with developing SOP's and process improvements. Concurrent record keeping related to all pertinent documentation. Acts within guidelines established by the company policies. Must understand and work with regulatory guidelines established by the USDA. All other duties assigned. Be able to bend and lift 50-70 lbs. WORK ENVIRONMENT Fast-paced work environment with a family style culture. Team centric laboratory, willing to provide on-the-job training. Noise level in production is typically moderate. EDUCATION No Education required. Highschool diploma preferred but not required. IMPORTANT QUALITIES Good verbal and written skills. Able to work with minimal supervision. Able to communicate effectively. Problem recognition Able to prioritize projects and meet deadlines. Ability to read, write, and comprehend information and to effectively convey information to colleagues at various levels.
