Behavior Support Paraprofessional (RBT) - Grade 1 Student Support Schedule: 8:45 AM - 4:15 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch) Hours: 7.5-hour shift / 7 paid hours per day Interview: One in-person interview (approx. 15 minutes) Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide 1:1 support for a Grade 1 student. The student is academically strong and communicative, with occasional needs for redirection, resilience-building, and support during moments of frustration. This role focuses on behavior support, academic engagement, and implementing individualized strategies under the direction of the student's case manager. Key Responsibilities Redirect student attention to tasks and classroom expectations Provide repetition, clarification, and reinforcement of directions Support guided play and facilitate positive peer interactions Deliver consistent praise for on-task behavior and appropriate social skills Reinforce behavioral expectations and coping strategies Model language for communication, problem-solving, and peer engagement Collect and record behavioral and academic data Assist with student needs as required, including feeding, toileting, positioning, and monitoring health-related concerns Qualifications Required High School Diploma or equivalent Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification Ability to support students with diverse behavioral and academic needs Willingness to obtain First Aid/CPR certification prior to start date Preferred Experience in Autistic Support, Special Education, Behavioral Health, or Mental Health settings Credentialing Requirements (All must be completed within 12 months) PA Child Abuse Clearance PA Criminal Background Check PA FBI Fingerprinting TB Test Results Diploma or transcripts verifying highest level of education #education
