Job #: 147524 Title: Avionics Technician Location: Tucson, AZ Salary Range: 0.00 Position: Avionics Technician Description: The Avionics Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, inspecting, repairing, modifying, and servicing aircraft avionics, electrical, and electronic systems in accordance with FAA regulations, company procedures, and customer requirements. This role includes operating ground support equipment, assisting with mechanical and electrical removals and installations, maintaining documentation of work performed, supporting other maintenance disciplines, participating in 5-S and safety initiatives, and ensuring compliance with environmental and safety policies. The technician may also perform work at off-site locations as required and support corporate or commercial aircraft maintenance tasks. Requirements: #Job Details Facility Type: Part 145 Repair Station Aircraft Worked: Corporate / Commercial Aircraft Job Duration: Contract to Hire Schedule: Any ShiftTools: Required #Education & Job Requirements High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Avionics / Electrical A/C Technical School or equivalent substantiated experience.A Certification, P Certification, or A & P Certificate required; GROL or AET Certificate preferred. 3-5 years of corporate jet experience. 0-2 years of avionics work experience or equivalent substantiated experience. Ability to read and understand electrical engineering drawings. Basic PC skills.Must be authorized to work in the U.S. #Professional Attributes Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.Professional attitude and adherence to safety and environmental policies. #Preferred Skills Experience with inventory and tool control.Ability to work unscheduled overtime, holidays, and in seasonal/inclement weather. #Job Duties & Functions Adhere to General Work Requirements for factory, shop, or hangar positions. Comply with environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures. Participate in 5-S activities and maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas. Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, modify, and service aircraft avionics, electrical, and electronic systems. Operate ground support equipment as required. Assist with mechanical and electrical removals and installations. Document all work performed according to manuals, regulations, and company standards. Assist other maintenance disciplines as needed. Perform maintenance at off-site locations when required.Perform other duties as assigned. #Physical Requirements & Environment Ability to work indoors and outdoors in seasonal and inclement weather conditions. Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods.
