Your Role as a Nurse Supervisor Your journey involves: Assisting in the development and implementation of customized patient care programs, policies, and procedures. Serving as a vital liaison between administration, nursing management, and staff. Supervising nursing care, treatment, and services during your assigned shifts or within specific units. Monitoring staff performance, providing immediate feedback, conducting annual evaluations, and managing performance counseling. Providing direct patient care as needed and nurturing meaningful relationships by addressing the holistic needs of patients for recovery. Celebrating patient achievements along their recovery journey. Essential Qualifications Current RN licensure in accordance with state regulations. BLS certification; ACLS certification to be completed within one year of employment. CRRN certification to be obtained within one year of meeting eligibility requirements. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field is preferred. Two years of recent experience in an inpatient hospital setting within the last five years. Previous leadership experience, such as in a charge nurse or lead role, with responsibilities for reporting, issue resolution, directional setting, and accountability for patient and staff outcomes.
