Electrical Estimator

Responsibilities: Manager is open to mid-level (3-5 years) but really prefers a senior candidate (7+ years) ideally. Must be electrically inclined and have worked in the field and within the electrical world. Field work is required and he would love to see folks who have some experience in the field and not just behind the desk. Requirements: Electrical estimating experience with a focus on industrial and commercial construction. Proficiency with the estimating software (McCormick preferred); and other construction software tools like Bluebeam, etc. Expertise in reading and interpreting complex plans, specifications, and electrical schematics. Field work is required - Does not want candidates who have only had roles sitting behind the desk. Strong understanding of NEC (National Electrical Code), construction sequencing, and industry best practices. Leading complex conversations with vendors, sub-contracts, team members and community members. Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously. Experience in the industrial or commercial construction industry (field and/or office roles). Preferred Skills & Attributes: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related advanced field experience. Supervisory experience in leading a team of technical professionals. Experience with design-build or design-assist projects. Familiarity with industrial automation and controls. Strong business acumen and ability to evaluate risk and profitability. Knowledge of local labour markets, suppliers, and subcontractors.
