Machinist III

Job Title: Machinist IIIJob DescriptionAs a Machinist III, you will be responsible for fabricating parts to precise specifications using various machine tools. Your role will include calculating dimensions and tolerances, measuring and testing completed units for defects, and ensuring conformance to specifications. You will also operate and adjust machinery, setup equipment for new and existing products, and edit or write machine code when necessary.Responsibilities Calculate dimensions and tolerances using advanced GD&T and trade manuals. Measure, examine, and test completed units using precision instruments like micrometers and comparators. Operate and adjust machinery to perform precision machining operations. Setup machinery for established and new products using setup sheets. Edit and write machine code (g-code) when programs are unavailable. Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines. Clean and lubricate machines, tools, and equipment. Communicate effectively with engineering, supervisory, and manufacturing personnel. Analyze information and evaluate results to identify and solve problems. Design and build jigs and fixtures.
