DescriptionBecome part of an inclusive organization with over 40,000 teammates, whose mission is to improve the health and well-being of the unique communities we serve.UNC Hospitals Rehabilitation Services is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist to join our outpatient interdisciplinary team with clinical experience in pediatric feeding disorders. In this full-time position, you will provide high-quality care to pediatric patients from infancy to young adults with a variety of complex feeding needs individually and in a feeding team setting. Candidate should be familiar with a variety of strategies and be able to work closely with gastroenterologists, dieticians, and speech-language pathologists, as well as with other providers in interdisciplinary clinics.This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and colleagues that are truly invested in and passionate about the care they deliver. You will work in collaboration with our dynamic and experienced pediatric focused therapy team both in a team clinic setting, but also individually to deliver optimal outcomes and build strong therapeutic relationships. In addition to patient care, you will engage in mentorship, professional development, student placements, and clinical program development, allowing you to make a meaningful impact on individual patients, future therapists, and the broader community.This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and colleagues that are truly invested in and passionate about the care they deliver. The clinician provides student shadowing, clinical instruction, and participates in departmental and community continuing education and outreach.Responsibilities: Completes speech lang pathologist documentation, billing, and statistics per team guidelines. Manage daily caseload with efficiency and efficacy. Meets productivity standards per team guidelines. Administers basic evaluation and diagnostic testing and analysis, establishes a plan of care that consists of current and advanced techniques and subsequent modification to accomplish patient goals; Communicates relevant information to promote continuity of care. Provides clinical precepting and teaching for graduate students, staff, and clinical fellows under the guidance of the clinical specialist or other subject matter experts. Assists in the planning and coordinating of innovative clinical programs in collaboration with the clinical specialist, supervisor, or manager. Participates in continuous improvement in clinical services by attending and participating in departmental meetings and in-services. Other InformationOther information:Education Requirements:? Graduation from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.Licensure/Certification Requirements:? Speech-Language Pathology certification by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).Licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists.? BLS within 3 months of hire date.Professional Experience Requirements:? No prior experience required.Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:?
