Benefits Offered · Sign On Bonus, Certification Incentive Bonus, and Length of Service Award Bonus Programs · Continuing Education Program · Transportation Reimbursement Program · Employer-sponsored Medical, Dental, Vision, Critical Illness Coverage, Short-term, Long-Term Disability, & Employee Assistance Program · 401(k) with Generous Employer Match · Health Savings Account (HAS) and Flexible Spending Benefits · Paid Holidays and Paid Vacation · Annual Scrub Uniform Allowance · Employee Referral Award Bonus Program · Succession, Growth, and Mentorship Opportunities · Social Gathering and Team Opportunities · Full new hire training program to fully support, train, and welcome new hires to the team Responsibilities · Performing patient workups which include obtaining patient medical histories, Visual Acuity testing, IOP measurement, EOM assessment, Pupil assessment, and Obtaining patient informed consent for procedure. · Performing specialized diagnostic testing which includes OCT, Fundus Photography, and Visual Fields. · Assisting physicians by scribing for examinations and procedures such as Cryo, Intravitreal Injections, Lasers, Photodynamic Therapy, and Pneumoretinopexy. · Must be able to operate Practice Management System, Electronic Health Record, Imaging Review Software, and Drug Inventory Software. · Must be able to communicate effectively all diagnosis and procedure codes to financial counselors. · Travels to Satellite locations as needed. · Maintains a clean working environment, stocked rooms, equipment, and EOC guidelines · General clinic support functions · Must have the ability to perform well in a fast-paced, high-volume practice. · Continuous learning to advance to assist physicians and ability to scribe · The responsibilities listed are a general overview of the position, and additional duties may be assigned Education, Training, and Experience · 1-2 years of office experience working in a medical setting · 6 months to 1 year of experience as an Ophthalmic Technician · Must have a working knowledge of all ophthalmic terminology, spelling, and pronunciation · Effective verbal and written communication skills with patients, physicians, management, and employees · Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to learn and adapt quickly to new software. · Proficient in understanding, reading, and interpreting all contents of the paper and electronic medical charts · Excellent Organizational skills, multitasking, and logical thinking · Ability to be proactive, take initiative, and perform well in a fast-paced, high-volume practice. · Basic understanding of eye anatomy, medical terminology, ocular pathology, and eye diseases. ConfidentialityMaintains strict confidentiality regarding protected health information (PHI) and understands and adheres to TNR's HIPAA privacy and security policies and procedures. Typical Physical and Working DemandsPosition requires prolonged walking, sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity are sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment. Employees must have a standard range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports.
