What We Are Looking For We are seeking a dedicated Customer Security Assurance Specialist to join our Information Security Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) organization, specifically within our Customer Security Assurance program. In this role, you will be the trusted advocate for security with our customers, responsible for crafting a long-term strategy that fosters the trust essential for realizing Datavant’s vision of interconnected healthcare data. This role positions security as a competitive edge, empowering you to lead us in building trust and expanding our business through our robust security initiatives. Your Responsibilities Coordinate responses to customer inquiries including Requests for Proposals (RFPs), security assessments, audits, and more. Conduct technical assessments and documentation around critical controls and security processes, demonstrating a strong understanding of industry best practices. Engage with customers to explain control implementations, clarifying how security and compliance concepts apply to technical environments. Field requests for support in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Maintain effective and consistent communication with internal teams and customers. Develop and refine knowledge base content including whitepapers, FAQs, and control narratives as part of ongoing improvement. Analyze the impact of security on our market strategies, report trends, and enhance our security investments. Stay current with industry standards and regulations related to security and compliance. Qualifications for Success 4+ years of experience in security, audits, customer assurance, or risk assessments within security and privacy frameworks like SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, PCI, HITRUST, NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, etc. Proven experience in performing technical assessments related to key controls and auditing IT processes. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and customers. Detail-oriented and adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Adept at navigating ambiguity effectively. Preferred Qualifications Certifications in security, cloud, or audit (e.g., CISA, CISM, CISSP, CCSP) are advantageous. Experience in IT security and audits specific to the healthcare domain. Knowledge or experience with cloud services and security controls in environments like AWS. Familiarity with security platforms or portals (e.g., TrustCloud) is a plus. The estimated total cash compensation for this role ranges from $112,000 to $140,000 USD. For health and safety, many of our clients may require health screenings and proof of vaccinations post-offer. Requests for exemptions will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
