GENERAL PURPOSE: The Store Loss Prevention Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring a safe shopping environment by being a visible presence at store entrances and on the sales floor. Responsibilities include greeting customers with warmth and vigilance against theft and fraud while promoting compliance with company policies. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Safety & Security: Prioritize safety by practicing safe behaviors and assisting leadership in maintaining a secure environment for customers and associates. Customer Engagement: Greet customers with a smile and provide outstanding service, ensuring everyone feels welcomed. Theft Mitigation: Monitor for shoplifting through observation and gathering intelligence, communicating findings to store leadership. Operational Shortage Reductions: Educate the team on effective processes for minimizing losses and promote compliance with checkout procedures. WHO YOU ARE: High School diploma required; AA degree preferred. Experience in retail supervision and loss prevention is advantageous. Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a professional appearance. Willingness to comply with all legal regulations for security positions. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and manage objects weighing over 25 lbs. Regular bending, stooping, and crouching may be required. COMPENSATION: The base pay range for this role is $18.00 - $18.50, dependent on various factors such as experience and location. Other rewards may apply.
