In this role, you will assess the nutritional needs of patients/residents, implement interventions to maintain and improve their nutritional status, and enhance their quality of life in accordance with their goals. Your Responsibilities: Provide nutritional expertise and education to the healthcare team, patients, residents, and staff. Adhere to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' standards of practice and facility regulations. Collaborate with other departments to establish policies and address challenges related to nutrition and dining services. Engage in the development, review, and improvement of quality enhancement programs. Qualifications: Must-Haves: Bachelor's degree in nutrition (pre-2024) or a related field Master's degree in Nutrition or related area. National exam passed with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or eligibility criteria met by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. 75 hours of continuing education completed every five years, following CDR guidelines, using a professional portfolio. Licensed or certified in accordance with state regulations. Understanding of regulations surrounding comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents' rights. Ability to teach and communicate effectively about nutrition. Nice-to-Haves: Experience in healthcare or long-term care settings. Work Environment: Cura Hospitality accounts in Pennsylvania Compensation: Starting at $40.00 per hour, based on experience.
