Job #: 147565 Title: Avionics Installer | Entry Level to 4 Location: Savannah, GA Salary Range: Position: Avionics Installer Description: The Avionics Installer will assist with and perform the installation, removal, modification, and testing of avionics and electrical systems, fabricate wire harnesses, read and interpret blueprints and schematics, maintain accurate documentation, follow safety and 5S programs, support continuous improvement initiatives, mentor less experienced team members, and collaborate with other departments and engineering as needed, with responsibilities and supervision increasing from Avionics Installer 1 to 4. Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Professional attitude and ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Commitment to quality, safety, and organized work practices. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and assignments. #Avionics Installer 1 A minimum of 6 months of accredited schooling in aviation electronics or general electrical experience is preferred. General knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and customer specifications. Ability to use a multimeter. Entry-level, under moderate supervision. #Avionics Installer 2 A minimum of 2 years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics or two years of related work experience, or an avionics certificate plus one year of related work experience. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams. Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and customer specifications. Works under minimal supervision. #Avionics Installer 4 A minimum of 2 years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics plus 2 years related work experience, or four years of experience in an avionics/electrical career field. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams. Working knowledge of the company's Policies and Procedures manual, Inspection Procedures manual, and pertinent Process Specifications. Leads, supports, and provides work direction to other technicians. #Job Duties & Functions Assist in installation, removal, and modification of avionics and electrical components, fixtures, and associated equipment. Fabricate wire harnesses, perform terminations, and complete functional testing (ring-out) of avionics/electrical systems. Maintain required logs and records accurately. Comply with FOD program, tool control program, 5S program, and all safety regulations. Ensure work meets regulatory requirements, customer specifications, and quality standards. Check all work for defect-free assembly prior to final inspection. Properly care for and maintain shop equipment and tools. Complete tasks within allotted time frames and support continuous improvement initiatives. Coordinate with other departments to ensure on-time delivery of aircraft and tasks. Assist engineering in problem resolution and repairs per engineering direction. Perform other duties as assigned. #Advanced Job Duties & Functions#Avionics Installer 4 Provide guidance, mentorship, and work direction to less experienced team members Coordinate shift changes and fill in for team coordinators or leaders as required #Physical Requirements & Environment Shift work may be required, including overtime as needed.
