Senior Compensation SME Job Overview: Search Solution Group is seeking a Senior Compensation Subject Matter Expert (SME) on behalf of our client, a leading nationwide provider of design, procurement, and installation services. This role will serve as a strategic advisor and technical expert responsible for supporting enterprise-wide compensation initiatives, pricing strategies, and data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate is a seasoned compensation professional who can operate independently, deliver consulting-level analysis, and provide executive-ready insights that support organizational growth and workforce strategy. Key Responsibilities: Lead compensation analysis and modeling initiatives to support enterprise-wide compensation and pricing strategies. Develop advanced Excel models to analyze compensation structures, trends, and benchmarking data. Conduct market pricing analyses using compensation survey tools and external data sources. Partner with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to provide compensation recommendations aligned with business objectives. Support enterprise-wide compensation or pricing projects from analysis through implementation. Ensure accuracy and integrity of compensation data through detailed auditing and validation processes. Translate complex compensation data into clear, executive-ready presentations and recommendations. Provide consulting-level guidance on compensation best practices and market competitiveness. Maintain documentation and reporting related to compensation programs and analyses. Requirements include: Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience. Experience: Senior-level experience in compensation analysis or compensation consulting. Experience working independently in a highly analytical environment. Background in compensation consulting firms or financial services organizations preferred. Experience supporting enterprise-wide compensation or pricing initiatives. Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex modeling and data analysis. Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving abilities. Ability to synthesize large datasets into actionable insights. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to create executive-ready materials and presentations. Certifications: Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or similar certification preferred but not required. Knowledge: Compensation benchmarking methodologies and market pricing practices. Compensation survey tools (experience with Comp Analyst preferred). Compensation program design and analysis. Data validation, reporting, and compensation governance practices.
