Become the Nutrition Specialist You Aspire to Be Provide patient counseling as directed by physicians and dietary guidelines. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care. Assess dietary orders to ensure they meet nutritional intake standards. Document essential patient information in medical records according to protocols. Implement and adapt nutritional plans, menus, and cater to unique dietary requirements. Perform calorie assessments and offer tailored recommendations. Review and approve menus for nutritional compliance. Qualifications for Success Registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association. State licensure is required. Membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is preferred. Bachelor's or advanced degree in Food & Nutrition from an accredited institution.
