Job Description Electrical Estimator I Yearly Salary: $50,000- $65.000 Responsibilities: The Electrical Estimator will assist in preparing accurate and competitive estimates for upcoming commercial electrical projects. This role is ideal for someone who has commercial electrical experience from working in the field. Review project drawings, specifications and bid documents Perform quality take-offs for materials, equipment and labor Help prepare estimates, proposals and bid packages Maintain and update pricing, vendor lists and material cost information Request and evaluate quotes from suppliers Participate in project hand-off meetings to ensure smooth transition from estimating to operations Track historical project data for use in future estimates Additional Essential Functions: Work with project managers, service managers, and project foreman on change orders and costs to complete estimates of on going projects Communicate effectively with the general contractor, owner and/or owners representative through negotiations Requirements Have a understanding of the NEC Basic understanding of electrical systems and components Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills Strong knowledge with Microsoft Excel and general computer skills Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities Good communication and teamwork skills Preferred Technical school training in electrical construction Field experience as an electrician or electrical apprentice At least 1-2 years hands on field experience in electrical Experience with estimating software a plus Familiar with reading blueprints and specifications Must possess a positive, can do attitude Benefits Aetna Healthcare Plan with contributory employer offering Dental and Vision offered Benefits eligible on the first of the month following 30 days of employment 10 days flexible PTO 7 Paid Holidays Weekly direct deposit Annual bonuses Continuous specialized training opportunities for personal growth
