Galley Sanitation Specialist Join American Cruise Lines, the premier U.S. cruise company, as we embark on exciting journeys across America's rivers and coasts. We are seeking dedicated Galley Sanitation Specialists for the 2026 season. This is a unique opportunity to work in our shipboard galley, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation to provide our guests with an exceptional dining experience. This temporary position lasts for 28 weeks. Responsibilities: Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the galley, including all cutlery, glassware, dishes, and surrounding areas. Receive and transport food deliveries, with the ability to lift boxes weighing up to 50 lbs. Ensure the commercial dishwasher functions efficiently, reporting any maintenance issues promptly. Foster genuine rapport with our guests, responding efficiently to all galley requests. Assist with additional tasks, such as greeting guests upon embarkation and helping during special events, including afternoon teas and entertainment evenings. Highlights: Pay: Weekly wages range from $1,000 to $1,400, with potential bonuses. All major living expenses are covered aboard, giving you an excellent opportunity to save your earnings. Qualifications: Applicants must be at least 18 years old and either a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder. Ability to perform essential job functions with or without accommodation is required. In compliance with Federal Law and the Department of Transportation, all shipboard employees must pass a pre-employment drug test, which includes testing for marijuana and other controlled substances. To deliver safe and responsible service to our guests, alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited while on board. Employees will also receive training for emergency and safety functions vital to the ship's operation. American Cruise Lines maintains grooming standards, which include limitations on visible tattoos and piercings. This is a temporary role lasting no longer than 28 weeks. This is a temporary position with no promise of future employment. This is a full-time, nonexempt role. Essential Functions: Ability to work on a vessel that experiences wind, waves, and currents, requiring adaptability to its distinct motions, including surge, sway, heave, roll, pitch, and yaw. Capability to work approximately 12 hours per day. Ability to assist during an on-board emergency, including climbing ladders and maneuvering through a 20" diameter hatch. Capacity to stand throughout your shift. Regularly lift items up to 20 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs. Frequent bending, squatting, and reaching are necessary. Ability to live and work aboard a ship for extended periods. Frequent use of stairs is required.
