Job Description

Join a dynamic healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest region as a Respiratory Therapist providing compassionate and expert respiratory care. This full-time position offers variable 12-hour shifts, including days and nights, with a rewarding $5,000 sign-on bonus tied to a two-year commitment. Job Summary Deliver comprehensive respiratory therapy services under physician orders, including oxygen and aerosol therapies, advanced airway management, arterial puncture and analysis, ECGs, and mechanical ventilation for adult and geriatric patients. Plan, implement, and assess treatment effectiveness while collaborating closely with providers and interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities Provide timely, compassionate respiratory care tailored to patient needs. Conduct pulmonary function tests and administer prescribed respiratory therapies. Operate and maintain respiratory equipment safely and efficiently. Monitor patient responses and adjust treatment plans accordingly. Participate in discharge planning and educate patients and caregivers on home respiratory care. Contribute to policy development, staff training, and quality improvement initiatives. Education and Experience Associate degree from a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Therapy program. Minimum two years of acute care respiratory therapy experience. Licenses and Certifications Current, unrestricted respiratory care practitioner license in Washington State. National Board for Respiratory Care Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) required; Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within six months of hire. Skills and Abilities Strong knowledge of respiratory care theories and clinical practices. Proficient in operating respiratory therapy equipment and electronic medical records. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams and patients. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing environments. Leadership and coaching capabilities to support team development.
