Location: West End, NC Employment Type: Full Time (Nights 36 hrs/week) Start Date: ASAP Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to support their residential behavioral health program for adolescent boys. The RN will be the only nurse on shift , providing medical oversight, medication management, and support for residents while collaborating with on-site Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) who assist with behavioral mentoring. This is an excellent opportunity for nurses with behavioral health, residential care, or group home experience who are comfortable working independently in a structured setting. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct nursing care to residents within a 12-bed youth behavioral health group home Perform assessments, administer medications, and respond to medical or behavioral incidents Utilize paper charting to document assessments, interventions, and observations Collaborate with DSP staff who manage behavioral mentorship and daily routines Maintain a safe and supportive environment for residents ages 9-17 Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary staff and leadership Minimum Requirements Active RN license (Nursys verification required) Resume and cover page Experience working in group homes, behavioral health, or similar settings Comfortable working independently as the sole nurse on shift Ability to manage care for adolescent males with behavioral needs At Amergis, we firmly believe that our employees are the heartbeat of our organization and we are happy to offer the following benefits and compensation: Competitive salary based on experience and weekly paychecks Health, dental, vision, and life insurance 401(k) savings plan Awards and recognition programs Supportive school environment Looking for opportunities in other locations?
