Clinical Pharmacy Manager - Portland, OR (Full-Time, Day Shift) A sign-on bonus of $10,000 is available for qualified external candidates who meet all eligibility requirements. Position Overview The Clinical Pharmacy Manager is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, coordinating, and overseeing high-quality pharmaceutical care services. This role ensures excellence in patient care, staff development, medication safety, and regulatory compliance while upholding the highest professional standards. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Administration Lead, organize, and improve pharmacy services to ensure safe, effective, and cost-efficient medication therapy. Participate in system, regional, and local committees to represent pharmacy operations and clinical initiatives. Support recruitment, staff development, performance management, and succession planning. Oversee operational, productivity, and financial targets. Manage onboarding and continuing education programs for pharmacy and non-pharmacy staff. Serve as the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) for one or more pharmacy locations, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards. Clinical Management Lead formulary management efforts and standardize order sets. Advance clinical pharmacy programs and services. Support multidisciplinary care team collaboration and reduce clinical variation. Coordinate investigational drug services as needed. Operational Management Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements. Develop staff schedules and optimize workflow. Implement new technologies, services, and medication-use processes. Oversee inventory management and purchasing optimization. Promote medication safety through surveillance, education, and process improvements. Reporting Structure The pharmacy manager reports directly to regional pharmacy leadership and may also collaborate with local administrative leadership. The role may oversee both frontline staff and team leaders. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy Active Oregon Pharmacist License (required at the time of hire) Minimum of 2 years of pharmacy experience in a relevant practice area Preferred Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) At least 1 year of management or leadership experience Compensation & Employment Details Full-Time, Day Shift Full benefits package No relocation assistance No commission or overtime eligibility Travel not required Security clearance not required Visa sponsorship not available Candidate Profile 2-5 years of professional experience Mid-Senior level Bachelor's degree minimum Management experience preferred but not required
