Job Summary and Qualifications The successful candidate will: Attend staff meetings, complete in-service training, and fulfill ongoing education requirements. Administer safe and appropriate oxygen therapy following established protocols. Conduct non-invasive SpO2 monitoring and perform various therapy modalities as directed by physicians. Set up and manage CPAP/Bi-Level therapy and operate mechanical ventilators. Respond to emergency situations, including code blue calls. Precept new employees and contribute to their professional development. Perform arterial punctures, blood gas analysis, and other specialized respiratory procedures. Education Vocational School Diploma in Respiratory Therapy - Required Associate's Degree - Preferred Experience One year of critical care experience - Required Experience in NICU/PICU and familiarity with various respiratory therapies and diagnostics - Preferred Licensure/Certification Virginia Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner OR State Registered Respiratory Therapist - Required NBRC Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist credentials - Required Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - Required Chippenham Hospital, a leading healthcare provider since 1972, offers patients access to top physicians and advanced technology.
