As a Senior Construction Manager for Data Centers, you'll lead large-scale and fast-paced projects from inception to final commissioning. Your expertise will drive schedule adherence, budget management, quality assurance, and safety in a collaborative environment. You will lead cross-functional teams, including project managers, commissioning specialists, and contractors, mitigating complexity while executing with precision. Key impact areas: Oversee the successful delivery of complex data center projects at scale. Lead cross-functional teams with a focus on a safety-first culture. Manage schedules and budget controls while mitigating risks. Collaborate with design and operations teams for seamless project handovers. Adopt cutting-edge construction practices to drive performance and sustainability. Onsite Location: This role requires your presence in Saline, Michigan and does not offer remote work options. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: Lead the base building and MEP infrastructure efforts, ensuring technical excellence. Oversee all construction activities, ensuring adherence to schedule, budget, and quality targets. Create and maintain detailed, milestone-driven schedules to keep all parties accountable. Evaluate risks related to timely delivery and brief stakeholders on mitigation strategies. Manage tenant fit-out integration to ensure smooth transitions through design, construction, and commissioning phases. Implement rigorous QA/QC processes to ensure all activities meet design intent and industry standards. Collaborate with design teams to ensure field execution aligns with approved specifications. Act as the primary liaison with contractors and vendors, maintaining clear and actionable communication. Identify potential risks early, executing mitigation plans to protect project outcomes. Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, and company standards. Provide data-driven feedback on contractor performance to promote continuous improvement. Conduct regular site visits to monitor schedule adherence, safety, and quality throughout the project lifecycle. Required Skills: Expertise in civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, controls, and plumbing systems for data center core and shell. Experience driving startup and commissioning processes for major data center projects. Strong problem-solving skills to anticipate and act on issues in high-pressure situations. Ability to conceptualize and execute program-level strategies for predictable project delivery. Stay updated on data center design, construction, and operational requirements, employing innovative, sustainable solutions. Manage large and complex builds, maintaining control over scope, schedule, budget, quality, and change management. Demonstrated leadership abilities, fostering performance and safety within diverse teams. Expertise in budget management, tracking performance, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Proficient in early risk identification and the development of effective mitigation strategies. Ability to source and manage vendors while ensuring accountability and safety compliance. Thorough knowledge of codes, standards, and company policies, ensuring full compliance. Exceptional communication skills for delivering clear and actionable updates to stakeholders. Compensation and Benefits: The hiring range is competitive, with annual salaries ranging from $120,100 to $251,600. You may be eligible for bonuses, equity, and compensation deferrals.
