Overview: Join our team as a Patient Referral and Scheduling Coordinator, where you will play a crucial role in coordinating patient exams and procedures with specialists outside of the primary care setting. In this position, you will handle essential administrative and operational tasks while ensuring a seamless experience for patients and referring providers. Your Responsibilities: As the Referral Coordinator, you will: Schedule and pre-register patients for various exams and procedures. Gather, communicate, and relay important information and preparation instructions to patients and referring providers. Perform clerical and operational tasks with precision and attention to detail. What We Are Looking For: Experience: At least 1 year in a healthcare setting focusing on referrals, especially within the Medicare population. Bilingual: Must be fluent in both English and Spanish. Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiar with medical terminology. EMR Experience: Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records systems is essential. Communication: Strong professional communication skills and the ability to interact well at all levels within our organization and with patients. This role is patient-facing and is part of our Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. Successful candidates will be required to undergo TB screening. A passion for enhancing patient experiences and serving our community. Preferred Attributes: Candidates with knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding, referral management experience, or relevant medical certifications are highly valued. Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Compensation: Annual pay ranges from $39,000 to $49,400, with eligibility for a bonus incentive plan based on performance.
