Job Description & Requirements Specialty: CVICU Discipline: RN Start Date: 03/31/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Opportunity:RN - CVICU Job Details:• Work 12-hour night shifts starting at 5:45 PM (1745)• Every other weekend requirement• Holiday rotation with core staff• Patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2• Must have 2 full years of CVICU experience and worked 1 travel assignment• Float to MSNICU (neurology experience preferred) and other Sacramento facilities• First to float policy• 1-2 day floor orientation with preceptor• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS• Must be able to read and interpret EKG strips• Work with ventilators and critical drips• Care for pre and post-op CABG patients, LVADs, Empallas, IABP, TAVRs, CRRT patients• Must pass DYS exam through UNA within 24-48 hours of signing contract (80% passing score, 2 attempts allowed)• Navy scrubs required - undershirts must be navy, white, or black• Use Cerner EMR system• Self-scheduling system with manager balancing• Schedules available 4 weeks in advance• Overtime and extra shifts available• Must provide 2 supervisor references at submittal (1 within 12 months, 1 within 3 years)• Cannot have been directly employed by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity within past year Facility:This healthcare facility operates a 20-bed cardiovascular surgical intensive care unit that provides high-acuity critical care services.
