Job Purpose: - The Behavioral Tech III at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER is responsible for providing advanced support and care to individuals with behavioral health needs during Shift 3. This role involves implementing therapeutic activities, monitoring patient progress, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment for clients. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans for clients, in collaboration with healthcare professionals. - Monitor and document client behavior, progress, and any significant changes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to the clinical team. - Facilitate therapeutic activities and group sessions designed to enhance client coping skills and emotional well-being. - Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques to manage challenging behaviors and ensure client safety. - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for clients, adhering to all health and safety regulations. - Support clients in daily living activities, promoting independence and self-care skills. - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive and cohesive care for clients. - Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in behavioral health care. - Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members, fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere. Required Education: - High school diploma or equivalent is required. - An associate degree or higher in psychology, social work, or a related field is preferred. Required Experience: - Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a behavioral health setting. - Experience in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques. - Familiarity with shift work, particularly overnight shifts, in a healthcare or behavioral health environment. Required Skills and Abilities: - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, families, and team members. - Proficiency in documenting client interactions and maintaining accurate records. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. - Demonstrated ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and empathy. - Basic computer skills, including familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems. - Knowledge of behavioral health principles and practices, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
