Numerical Control (N/C) Programmer

About the Role This role involves developing and optimizing CNC machining programs using engineering drawings and specifications. The position requires strong expertise in Siemens NX, Vericut, or Calypso depending on the specialty. You will analyze part configurations, determine machining sequences, and ensure precision through effective programming and testing. Key Responsibilities Interpret engineering drawings and specifications for machining requirements Develop and modify CNC programs for tools, parts, and sheet metal Define machining sequences, cutter paths, and tool choices Select appropriate cutters based on material, speed, feeds, and system limitations Use Siemens NX and Vericut for programming and simulation (for NC roles) Use Calypso software for Zeiss CMM programming (for CMM role) Optimize program routines for efficient machining Test, troubleshoot, and refine programs based on engineering changes Ensure accuracy and compliance with internal quality standards Collaborate with engineering and quality teams Qualifications Hands-on experience with Siemens NX and Vericut (for NC Programmer roles) OR Experience using Calypso software for Zeiss CMMs (for CMM Programmer role) Strong understanding of machining processes, CNC operations, and tooling Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T Experience developing and modifying CNC programs
