Salary: $19.19 - $19.78 Hourly Location : Tualatin Hills Athletic Center - Beaverton, OR Job Type: Part-time Job Number: 26-00024 Department: ATHLETIC CTR Opening Date: 02/23/2026 Closing Date: 3/15/2026 5:00 PM Pacific Description The Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation District (THPRD) is seeking highly organized Front Desk Support staff committed to delivering exceptional customer service. The Front Desk Support position serves as the first point of contact for visitors, focusing on creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for our patrons. Scheduling Staff are typically scheduled for 3 to 28 hours per week, between 5:45 a.m. and 10:15 p.m. Currently, shifts that need coverage are as follows: Monday 11:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.Tuesday 11:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.Wednesday 11:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.Friday 2:00 - 10:15 p.m.Saturday 7:45 a.m. - 2:15 p.m.Saturday 1:30 - 9:15 pm Times may vary based on programming needs. Pay The hiring range for this position is $19.19 to $19.78 hourly, based on experience and internal equity. The full hourly range for this job classification is $19.19 to $21.63. Staff may be eligible for a merit increase at the end of September. Key Responsibilities: Answer multi-line telephone and direct calls to appropriate personnel and take accurate messages. Greet the public and provide information and assistance regarding schedules, program descriptions, and other general information over the phone and in person. Perform general clerical support, such as preparing and formatting forms, letters, and reports from rough draft or detailed instructions. Assist the public with program enrollment by signing participants up for programs, receiving money, and performing related registration procedures. Create a positive experience for customers through professional and courteous behavior. Assist with the daily cleaning and sanitization of the work area and maintain the health and safety of all participants and staff. However, they have the option of working additional hours during periods like summer or winter months. SEASONAL: Seasonal employment is temporary and allows employees to work only during certain times of the year, up to 40 hours per week for a maximum duration of six (6) consecutive months. Effective February 15, 2026 the accrual rate for PTO will increase to one (1) hour earned for every 23 hours worked and will include seasonal employees! The ability to accrue paid sick leave at a rate of one (1) hour earned for every 30 hours worked Family Medical Leave eligibility for qualified family and medical related reasons Paid compassionate leave is available to all part-time employees to grieve the loss of an immediate family member, to make arrangements (if necessary), and to attend memorial services. Employees are eligible for paid compassionate leave for up to the hours scheduled in their average work week.
