Outside Machinist East Plant

Learn more. We are currently recruiting for an Outside Machinist East Plant position to work at our Lake Charles, Louisiana, East Plant facility. Key Accountabilities Analyzes and determines causes of faulty conditions of pumps and other equipment and correct them by repair, calibration and adjustment of machinery and equipment to meet proper operational and quality requirements Installs and calibrates new pump, equipment, and machinery to that currently in use or as specified in new installation Overhauls, cleans, repairs, adjusts, aligns, and calibrates various types of pumps, machinery and equipment Performs routine preventative maintenance duties utilizing various types of analyses, meters, and other test equipment Must be able to attach proper accessories and demonstrate safe usage of pneumatic and power tools that are issued from the tool room Requires physical abilities to climb stairs and ladders and moderate to heavy lifting Must be able to repair/rebuild rotating equipment Formal Education/Working Experience High School / School Diploma or similar with 3+ years of experience applicable to Outside Machinist or Technical, industrial, craft degree or other training applicable to Outside Machinist Required Personal/Professional Skills Acceptable and clean work history Pass all pre-employment requirements Ability to safely perform essential job functions Sasol (USA) Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer and gives consideration for employment to qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, creed, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, pregnancy, national origin, disability or protected veteran status, as well as any other characteristic protected by applicable law, regulation or local ordinance.
