Lead, Finance Data Analytics

Responsibilities A client of Kforce is looking for a Lead, Finance Data Analyst to join their team in Saint Louis, MO. This role delivers strategic financial insights across margin drivers, serving as a key finance partner to senior leadership and supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization.Duties and Responsibilities: Lead comprehensive financial performance and margin analysis, evaluating revenue, volume, and key drivers while explaining variances related to weather, pricing, usage, and operational factors Drive forecasting, planning, and multi-scenario analysis by assessing exposure to weather variability, demand shifts, supply costs, and billing determinants Serve as a finance liaison to Supply, Accounting, Operations, and Regulatory teams, aligning financial insights with supply costs, revenue recognition, and close processes Lead enterprise analytics and special projects by developing financial models, dashboards, and standardized reporting tools that enhance decision-making Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and stronger financial performance controls Prepare executive-ready materials and present clear, data-driven insights to senior leadership and key stakeholders Skills Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required; MBA or CPA preferred 7+ years of experience in finance, analytics, or performance management, ideally within a regulated utility environment Strong knowledge of utility revenue models, margin drivers, weather impacts, and regulatory recovery mechanisms Advanced analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving abilities The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
