Psychiatric APP Job Posting - Evening ShiftDescription: Upstate Community Medical, PC is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our dedicated inpatient psychiatry team at Upstate Community Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and motivated NP to work in a collaborative academic medical center environment. This full-time evening shift position (2 PM - 11 PM) is essential in providing comprehensive psychiatric care across multiple settings, including the inpatient psychiatry units and the emergency department. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provide inpatient psychiatric floor coverage for patients on the psychiatric service Perform admissions to the inpatient psychiatry unit Perform consultations for patients in both inpatient medical units and the emergency department Collaborate with attending psychiatrists, hospitalists, and interdisciplinary care teams Participate in treatment team meetings, develop and implement individualized care plans, and document clinical progress Educate and counsel patients and families regarding treatment plans and psychiatric conditions Minimum Qualifications: This full-time position is ideal for a highly motivated psychiatry NP PMHNP-BC (Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner - Board Certified) NYS license ACLS & BLS required Current CPR NCCPA Certification or NP ANCC 2 - 3 years of experience in psychiatry preferred.
