Education Requirements A Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health degree, alongside preparation for ASCP/AMT certification. Certifications Needed Achieve ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) within the first year of employment.
