Job Full Description Rodbuster / Rebar Cutter / Fabricator Location: Bessemer, AL Pay: BOE (Based on Experience) - $17/hr minimum A prefabricated building systems manufacturer specializing in electrical substation control buildings and communication shelters is seeking an experienced Rodbuster / Rebar Cutter / Fabricator to support production within a concrete manufacturing environment. Job Responsibilities Follow all safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment Cut, bend, and fabricate rebar pieces and rebar cages Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to build cage structures Accurately use a tape measure for layout and fabrication Manage and complete multiple projects during the same shift Work outdoors when required and in varying conditions Operate equipment such as forklifts and MEWPs after proper training Perform cleanup and housekeeping duties Assist with additional tasks as assigned by supervisor May drive or ride in a company vehicle/service truck with proper authorization Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent Valid Driver's License Ability to pass a drug screen and background check Proven experience with rebar cutting, bending, and cage fabrication Ability to read a tape measure and blueprints proficiently Physically able to: Lift up to 50 lbs Work on knees Perform manual labor in an industrial environment Willing to work outdoors as needed Willing to perform any assigned task Self-motivated and able to work independently Reliable transportation Willing to work overtime, including weekends Flexible end of day; may be required to stay past 3:30 PM until tasks are completed Birmingham (West), AL 2067 2108 Rocky Ridge Road Birmingham, AL 35216
