Job Title: Senior Cath Lab Technician / Special Procedures TechnologistLocation: Cypress, Texas 77433 Department: Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Employment Type: Full-Time Salary range-$100k-$140k Vendor fee-$4000 Job Summary The Senior Cath Lab Technician is responsible for assisting physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac procedures within the catheterization laboratory. This position requires advanced proficiency in all areas of Cath Lab operations, including scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating, with minimal supervision. The technologist functions as part of a collaborative team dedicated to safe, high-quality cardiovascular care. Minimum Qualifications Education One of the following is required: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology, OR Graduate of an accredited academic program in Health Sciences or Invasive Cardiovascular Technology If an employee has held an RCIS credential from CCI since 2013 or earlier, formal education is not required. Licenses & Certifications Must have: Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Life Support (ACLS) certification One (1) of the following certifications: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) - Cardiovascular Credentialing International Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT-R) / Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) Registered Radiologic Technologist in Cardiovascular-Interventional Technology (ARRT-CV) Experience / Knowledge / Skills Minimum 5 years of experience as an Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist Ability to safely lift, position, and maneuver patients with assistance Strong knowledge of ECG interpretation, hemodynamics, and interventional cardiology procedures Effective communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills Demonstrated professionalism aligned with the Memorial Hermann "Partners-in-Caring" culture: innovation, compassion, collaboration, accountability, empowerment, and results Principal Accountabilities Procedural Support Provide technical support during cardiac catheterization procedures in roles such as scrub tech, circulator, or monitor tech. Handle sterile equipment, assist physicians with device preparation, and maintain sterile technique at all times. Perform physiologic monitoring, including interpretation of ECG rhythms and dysrhythmias. Clinical Tasks Record cardiovascular procedures and document all patient data accurately. Analyze arterial/venous blood gases and respired gas samples using automated analyzers to determine cardiac output, oxygen saturation, and metabolic status. Operate imaging, recording, and hemodynamic equipment; ensure proper equipment setup and quality control. Operational Support Maintain supplies and equipment according to department standards. Adhere to all safety policies to ensure safe care for patients, staff, and visitors. Manage time, supplies, and productivity within budget expectations.
